June 22, 2009
Audience

The most important thing that I can do is to cause you to reflect, contemplate what you have been given, and make you think about the possibility of  having peace in your life.

In some ways, you are very much like me. As human beings, we have a need. It is not a need created by society or by religion. It is a fundamental need to be fulfilled, to be in peace. It is easy to toss around the word “peace.” But what is peace? Is it just hearing wind chimes? No traffic? No airplanes or trains buzzing by? To some people, that’s exactly what peace means. And it’s sad that external noise pollution becomes so irritating that when we find ourselves in the absence of it, we call it “peace.” Read the rest of this entry »

Ashland events, June 27-28

June 18, 2009

There will be three events in Ashland the weekend of June 27 and June 28. Here are the details on all three events, including a dinner on Sunday night.

We are excited to announce an event featuring Charan Anand, who will be visiting Ashland on June 27th and June 28th.  Charan Anand is a long-time student of Prem Rawat – he was a student of Maharaji’s father, and has known Maharaji since he was born. Charan Anand still travels around the world, speaking about the message of Prem Rawat.  We will be hosting an event on June 27th, beginning at 2:00 PM for people who have received Knowledge and those who have begun the Keys process.  The event will be held at the Ashland Public Library in the Gresham Room.

There will also be an event for the public on the evening of June 27th, and all are welcome to attend.  Charan Anand will be exploring the message of Prem Rawat, featuring footage from Prem Rawat’s addresses.  This event will also take place in Ashland Library’s Gresham Room.  The event will begin at 7:30 PM.  This is a wonderful chance to invite friends and guests to come and enjoy stories of Charanand’s and his work with Maharaji.  This presentation should be lively and sweet and  I’m sure many will really enjoy the evening.

We will also be hosting a TPRF (The Prem Rawat Foundation) fundraiser on Sunday, June 28.  The short movie “A Spark of Hope, The Food for People Story” will be shown.  We will be providing a festive Indian meal with the help of Charan Anand.  There will be door prizes, gifts, and music!!!  The dinner will most likely be held at the Bellview Grange, starting at 6:00 PM.  Cost of admission will be $15. Tickets will be available in advance.
