Who are you? Let me give you a bit of an economy lesson here. If I were to say you were going to receive $25,550, is that a lot of money? For some people, it’s a lot. For some, it’s not. It won’t buy you a house, a car, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and pay for your food for too long. These days, $25,550 is just not that much. If this is all you had, it’s not going to last that long.
What does the number 25,550 have to do with you? Well, if a human being lives for 70 years, which is an average, that’s how many days you get. That’s it. That’s it? Only 25,550 days?

November 5, 2009We will be watching two videos this coming Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 pm in the EWEB Community Room, 500 E. 4th Avenue.
One will be of Maharaji speaking in Tel Aviv, Israel, and the other will be a compliation of intereviews with people who practice the techniques of Knowledge, as well as excerpts of Maharaji speaking in Athens, Greece.
This is a great opportunity to invite family and acquaintances who might be interested in hearing about Maharaji’s message of peace.

Nutritious food to be provided immediately to over 2,400 survivors in remote areas
Los Angeles — After two consecutive earthquakes struck the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) is providing immediate food aid to over 2,400 survivors in remote areas. TPRF is working with the Yayasan IDEP, a local non-profit organization, which reports that thousands of survivors in the Padang Pariaman area have not received “help whatsoever to date” and are “homeless and desperate for food and clean water.”

For many in the audience, the trip to hear Maharaji speak in Miami Beach was as simple as driving across the causeway and as familiar an opportunity for joy as celebrating a birthday. For many others, the event prompted transcontinental flights and day-and-night-long drives. Isabel McCormick, an immigration lawyer from Miami, attended out of curiosity. A friend had told her about Maharaji, and she was interested to know how his message differed from that of others who profess that fulfillment lies within. Have you ever heard someone say, “You won’t believe what just happened to me”? We hear this and think, “Somebody’s going to tell me something that happened to them, but why are they saying, ‘You won’t believe what just happened to me’?” The keyword is believe because if you had been there, you would know and not have to believe.
Now, belief is okay, but you give it much more credence than it deserves. Knowing deserves the credence you give to belief. Knowing is certain. It’s clear. There are no ambiguities, no hypotheses. This is what happened. But when you don’t know, is belief sufficient?
I can just imagine a long time ago, a person standing on a ridge, looking at the stars, wondering: “Who am I? Why am I here? What is this all about?” Read the rest of this entry »
